Summer temperatures are soaring this week, so don't pay attention to the fact that fall fruits and vegetables are starting to appear in your box already. But only a few of them, there's still plenty of summer left to enjoy! This week Celeriac makes its first appearance, along with Bartlett Pears, Mac Apples, and Cippolini Onions. Try using your pears and celeriac in this recipe for Pork Tenderloin with Celeriac and Pear Mash. On the meatier side of things, it's time to cook up some pork burgers! The Farmer's Choice Beasty Box has a sampling of a couple of varieties of our delicious pork burgers, so why not grill them up this Sunday for brunch using some of these ideas for Breakfast Burgers. We're midway through August and as much as I hate to say it, I've already begun to see the changes happening from Summer to Autumn. That being said, I'm still not ready to accept those changes and we continue to celebrate all things summer. For some of you, this may be the last week of the Harvest Box, and we've tried to provide some good variety in produce for you to go out on. For others, this is just another week, but with lots of veggies to try. New this week is spaghetti squash. One of my favourite late summer veggies, try our Spaghetti Squash Carbonara for a lighter version of the comfort food classic with our eggs and back bacon. For the meatier folks, we've put together instructions on how to cook up your chicken breasts and bison sirloin cap steaks perfectly every time. Because it's only been a week of enjoying corn so far this summer, it's back this week. Go beyond the basic butter topping this week and try this recipe for Mexican Street Corn; it's an amazing way to spice things up at your next dinner party. Ribs are in your Beasty Boxes this week too, and they are great when paired with corn. Need a little help on how to prepare them? Check out our guide on the 2 Step Method . Don't worry if it feels a little gloomy outside for grilling, most of the preparation for ribs is done indoors and you only need a brief moment on the grill to stick the sauce to them!

One of my favourite summer veggies arrives this week... CORN! Yes, dinners on the patio just got a whole lot more interesting, so stock up on your dental floss and toothpicks, because you'll be seeing corn in the box for the next few weeks to come. Try it grilled and serve it alongside this recipe for Grilled Bison Steaks with Farro, Plum and Fennel Salad. Also new this week is the first garlic of the season, butterball potatoes, leeks and Italian prune plums. Yum.
